    Balter XPA clone assistance.

I didn't dry hop this, quite a nice beer, but a clone it is not. I have a couple of balter cans in the fridge, I'll try them and my beer back to back and see where it sits. Suspect the hop profile is off, but will report back next week.

    Lactose intolerance and ciders

I'm bottle conditioning some with xylitol at present. I thought it taste quite fine when I had dissolved it.. however it is in an apple and blackcurrant cider which tasted like rocket fuel when I bottled it. Needless to say I'm giving it plenty of time. For equivalant sweetness with lactose it...

    Balter XPA clone assistance.

That was my guess, but they replied to me on untappd and said not a galaxy in sight. Citra, Amarillo and Centential form the backbone.

    Hops by the gram

Thanks, checked him out, unfortunately no equinox listed but have shot an email through. Same with Cheekypeak.

    Hops by the gram

Hello All, Other than cheekypeak, do you know of anyone selling hops by the gram? I'm chasing some equinox/ekuanot/hbc 366 for a 4 Pines Indian Summer Clone and can only seem to get them in 100gram+ packets, when I need about an 8th of this. Alternatively, a good substitute to go with the...

    Balter XPA clone assistance.

I am trying to put together a grain bill for this beer. However my palette is not refined enough to do so from the 1 can I thoroughly enjoyed. I plan on using citra, centennial and Amarillo to bitter to 30IBU and a dry hop of equal quantities of each. (I brew 1 gallon batches and was thinking...

    Cider: Pimping the Brigalow Kit.

Bottled last night. Was sweet, but not "my teeth are rotting" sweet. We will see how it conditions. Less sweet than a strongbow draught, but not dry by any stretch.

    Mulberry Beer

How did you go cider man? The mulberry tree is starting to fill with fruit. I was thinking of adding to secondary in a small batch cider.

Assistance in converting an AG recipe to extract.

Thank you for the response. My experience is quite limited and was looking for perhaps the easiest path at this stage, hence the maltodextrine rather than a steep. I read of conjecture about its use, but I don't really understand the impact it has until I get to drink some. (I have 2 different...

    Cider: Pimping the Brigalow Kit.

I've hedged my bets, added 500gm of lactose, replaced 2l with apple juice and went with s-04 yeast. I also used white sugar rather than dex. Time will tell how sweet it is.

    Cider: Pimping the Brigalow Kit.

I shudder to suggest strongbow.. but given it is widespread its perhaps a great example, the original is about where I am at, I find the dry well, dry. and the sweet funnily enough, quite sweet. Though I'd be happy with something slightly down on the sweetness scale such as James Squire Orchard...
