So I filled the keggle up with 28L water (preboil volume) to see if putting a board underneath with a towel would help. Couldn't get it passed 96deg. The current element isn't cutting the mustard.
I'm on the hunt for an over the side immersion element. I found this one on eBay for around $70+...

Yes, that's what I do. I run a little bit of starsan as a no rinse (ratio of 1.5mL/L) and let it sit in the line for however long. When the keg is ready to be tapped, pour a foamy yeasty glass and tip it. Next glass is drinkable (albeit a little yeasty, one after that is spot on)

Im pretty sure the fermenting temp range for that strain is between 9-15deg C. With the ideal at 11deg C.
I would have gone with us-05 with those temps you are looking at.
