The cereal mash was a real PITA - but the beer came out fantastic and was liked by all that tasted it,
I have been brewing for a bit over 3 years now - pretty much went straight to all grain with a 35l Brewzilla. My very first brew was a Grain and Grape FWK and felt like I was cheating so went straight to all grain after that.
I am always willing try something new - don't like brewing/drinking...
