I'm baaaaack. About to start brewing again, going down the extract line and playing with speciality grains &amp; hops. Been lurking about for the past few weeks, collecting (i.e. stealing) ideas and fiddling around with recipes (IanH's spreadsheet is a masterpiece!). First cab off the rank (in coming weeks), an American Pale Ale (we'll call it that to avoid the LCPA clone clich)...<br />

In case I don't end up posting much and continue to lurk in the shadows (I hope to contribute, but I always find it hard to get involved in forum communities), but people happen to stumble across this: Thank you to everyone here for inspiring and informing this novice homebrewer.<br />
