    Spray ball washing the Keg.

Looks like a nice system. https://www.kegwasher.com/howitworks.html Carboys, Kegs, Pails and a very efficient Bottlewasher too. But I think the SS is the better keg washer. More efficient for batch cleaning multiple kegs. I love more options on the market.

    Not satisfied with kegerator carb

Put a small fan in the fridge. Perhaps in a better location

neither had I, until I watched the manual video :) Anyway, saniclean is like starsan, except without the foam. Because of that it needs to be made up at a stronger concentration, 2.5ml/L instead of 1.5ml/L. And also it needs a longer contact time (3 minutes), but that's why you have a CIP...

    Spray ball washing the Keg.

So, I actually bought one of the Brewtech Keg Washer's last week and used it on the weekend. I was super impressed with the apparent quality of it. I did try building a similar thing a few years ago, with a pond pump, and the results were ... bad. Anyway, its super nice. One thing that did...

Does anyone have the manual package that’s always referred to fro the GitHubs via a broken Dropbox link?

There are little etchings on the top of the device, you line those up and rotate until you find the pump “pins” and raise/drop into place. Then screw down. There are two videos on this page. The one with the 50L only shows putting two pins in. (Not 4) The other shows a 20L, but both pins (out...

Thinking on this some more, I believe you're meant to use all four in the BM, and the reason for the pump plugs on the inlet side is to restrict hop debrid/hot break etc from entering the pump. It'd act a bit like a raised pickup. German Engineering I guess.

So, I received my "Wort Pump Device 50L", it should solve a niggle I have with my setup, and I didn't want to get my march pump and all its plumbing out on a brew day if I don't need to. ...I find it helps if you pronounce it with a german accent... Anyway, it had two sets of pump plugs in...

Using one CO2 bottle, kegging and transfers

I just use a John guest one-way checkvalve to connect my gas line to the fridge. You should use a check valve anyway. Been using that to use my c02 bottle with picnic setups for years. Same thing.

I found it worked quite nicely when hosing out the trub. If I had the BM raised up off the platform, like the above roller-dolley, I probably could've cleaned the pumps without inverting the unit. Still working on process of course

Did my first batch on the BM50+ on the weekend :) What a nice machine. I definately need a better/lower stand for it. Was googling about, when I bumped into a facebook post from Spiedel from last week. Rolling tray for BM50. Has extra height to make it easier to get to the pumps etc, has...

Brewtech SS fermenting vessels discussion thread

:) Does anyone have the 17G/64L/ 1/2bbl unitank and care to comment on cleaning? About the same as the 14? Meanwhile, was checking up on Triclovers, https://www.brewershardware.com/how_to_use_tri_clover_fittings.html Each connection requires a clamp and gasket. Tri Clover Compatible gaskets...

3 corny kegs. Or as the yanks call that, a triple batch, since everything they do is in units of 5Gal. Same as what I can get out of my 60L (closer to 64L total capacity) plastic fermenters... if I fill them close to the top... and have a massive blow-off system :) 3 corny kegs is 15 US Gal...

I really don't think so, but happy to have my misconception debunked Also, https://ssbrewtech.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018120732-Why-should-I-get-a-14-gal-versus-a-1-2bbl-tank-Aren-t-they-almost-the-same-size- The 7gal and 14gal unitanks and chronicals are named after the max...
