    Free copper chiller

It looked a lot better when I first put it together.. Lots of brews later and a good couple of years kicking around the shed has not served it well..

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle.

It's a one piece custom vinyl sticker, carefully applied and then you just trace them with the q tip dipped in solution. The sticker was not cheap, but it came out top notch. ;)

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle.

I've done it to my 70l kettle. It's the best thing I've ever done to it. I used a 12v dc supply. As a precaution I made a paste of citric acid and vinegar overnight to try and passivate it afterwards.

    Lancer pacific regulator parts

So.. As it turns out, Andale are just around the corner from my work. They were able to tell me what the regulator is, AND they had the replacement diaphragm. Pricey, but they had it. :)

    Lancer pacific regulator parts

G'day punters, I was wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light on this for me: I have a lancer pacific dual regulator that I'm looking to source a rebuild kit for. It will soon need a new diaphragm, and it wouldn't hurt to change the main valves too. I've tried calling lancer pacific...

    Any Blacksmiths on Board?

I did the 8 day axe forging course in Central Sweden, run by the Gränsfors bruks axe forge. I recommend it to anyone. A trip of a lifetime. On practical matters, if you plan on doing a lot of big work, with forge welds and the like, then a plough disc is probably not going to last long. It's a...

    Immersion chillers Hornsby NSW

Hey all, I've just finished a brewery upgrade, and have to divest some of the gear I bought ( for economies of scale). I've got these immersion chillers from Germany. Made from 304ss, they are 10mm IDx 0.5mm wall thickness. 11mm OD is kind of odd, but a 12mm compression fitting with silicone...

    Suitable Mash Pump

I would think on a small scale it would be very difficult to find a mash pump that works properly. 1) You would have to have a thin mash 2) You would need to agitate the mash to keep everything in suspension otherwise you would have no chance of pumping it.. An auger would be more useful in...

    Electric Vs Gas

My first post on this forum i believe, but i'll leave my 2 cents. I use 2x1kW low intensity elements in my 50l boil vessel, and it is only just sufficient to keep 30l of wort on a rolling boil. Ideally i would add another 1kW, and it would be awesome. At 2kW i get about 1degree/minute...
