It is probably worth keeping in mind that most IBU formulas don't work well when the numbers get that high (>60 IBUs). Your calculated 85 IBUs will likely be lower than that in reality. So you might want to include some hops in the boil to get the bitterness needed in an IIPA.I
I have a grainfather too and have been thinking about getting one of these for beers with a lot of hops. I'd be interested to hear what you think the problem with it is?
