pretty short and narrow runway for that big bird, should be an impressive sight.

Was an impressive show, the engines overhang the runway so it was all brakes, no reverse thrust. It was actually a quiet landing without thrusters.
I think I love Mosaic. That is all.

mmmmm.. easily my favorite over the last few seasons..
I think I know why my American friends rack to secondary now. Between the trub and dry hops it now all sits above the tap! Guess its CC'ing for longer until I get an auto siphon.

must be a hell of a dry hop...

It was. I think it also comes from the fact the M44 didn't take off for 3 days, so I pitched a pack of SO4. Makes for lots of yeast and hops in the trub.

Successfully racked and bottled. Never used Vienna, I think I like it.
3 weeks in the bottle and my Chinook and Cascade APA tastes awesome. I am loving all grain!

Chinook & Cascade APA FTW! House fav. ;)
I think my IPA might be stuck, it's been at 1.030 for a few days now. Trying a forced ferment test, so we shall see.

I currently don't wash my yeast, this might just give the push in that direction.

Checked the gravity of the fast ferment and its dropped 10 points in a day, so ill check the IPA tonight and if it hasn't changed do a starter of US05.

Wow, raising the temp 2 degrees and giving the fermenter a gentle rock last night, and this morning must have woken the yeast up. Just checked the gravity and I'm down to 1.019. Dry hopped ready for cold crashing in a few days.
So I have tried my first Hefe. Damn Bubblegum! A friend suggested I call it the Bubble o' Bill, I can live with that.

Don't like it? Give the next one an acid rest, then pitch a shitload of yeast (be prepared for volcanic fermentation). Both will reduce bubblegum/bananas & accentuate cloves (personal preference).

The jury is still out. It's a curious taste, not what I was expecting from the commercial examples I've tried. But not unpleasant. I have a Mathos controller so adding an acid rest should be easy.
Okay only ordered brew rig on Friday and it was waiting at the back door this afternoon. Great service Cheeky Peak!

I am planning on setting up a recirc system along the lines of QLDKev's.
