Kegerator X vs 4 vs other models

This really isn't complicated. I Like This Idea My first chest freezer for my keezer died after 4 years. It is a good idea. I fully understand the savings in time and hassle. I just think that they have made it too expensive to be a successful product, and if its not, you wont be able to get...

There's no way you'll make the keg explode. No matter how much sugar you add, the yeast will give up at a far lower pressure than the keg is rated too. Just pour yourself a glass, add in sugar until you are happy with the taste, then calculate how much you need for the whole batch and add it at...

Kegerator X vs 4 vs other models

Yes I did, but that doesn't add any value to me as it will be built into a bar with a timber top. I think you guys should make a cheaper body using the same cassette, I'm sure you'd sell more. If others want to buy it, power to them, Nope can update us on how sales are going in 6 months and...

Kegerator X vs 4 vs other models

Not sure if you are intentionally being obtuse or not, but it is keg king, not me, that has created this selling point and is charging $500 for it. If there's "not a lot that can go wrong", then there is even less reason to buy it at this price. Stop underthinking things.

Are you bottling or kegging? If kegging its a bit easier as you can adjust until you're happy with it, and dont need to worry about carbonation so much. First option (easiest) don't bother backsweetening. I've made batches like this and they were fine, but I'm not a sweet tooth. Second, if...

Kegerator X vs 4 vs other models

Hahaha, how do you compare competing products without looking at the pros and cons then? Only an idiot doesn't look at the negative sides of products they are about to spend $1300 on. And once again you are wrong anyway as I haven't made up my mind. For the 3rd time, I like the idea. If by the...

Kegerator X vs 4 vs other models

Apologies for critically discussing features of a fridge in a thread comparing fridges. EDIT: and to clarify, I have said I think its a good idea, I just don't "feel protected" because I think the pricing is too far above the competition for the product to be a successful one. I could easily be...

    Gladfield Black Forest Rye

Have you had a chance to taste this one yet?

Kegerator X vs 4 vs other models

Yes, but that's a pretty niche market that wants that functionality and is willing to pay the extra ~$500 for it.

I do like the cassette idea, but at that price is it going to be a popular product? If it is a flop, will you be able to get a new cassette in 10 years anyway? If you can't then the whole reason for spending the extra money is gone.

What makes someone quit brewing ??

I think the most mess I've ever made brewing was trying to pour a bladder type FWK into my fermenter haha. Made a huge mess of my kitchen. But yeah they are easy to use otherwise. I pretty much just use them when I don't have enough time to brew and have empty taps.

Am I looking into it too much?

Firstly I would check the temp of the beer you are pouring with an accurate thermometer. It could be a few degrees off the set point (mine is). Make sure to use the actual temp, not the set point when figuring out your carb levels using a carbonation chart. Second, if you filled your keg with...

    Yeast for Munich Helles

Awesome thanks for sharing. I asked somewhere for a comparison and got a less than helpful reply.

    KegKing Spundy

I couldn't get them onto my chubby fermenters until I swapped the post O rings. I think the ones that came on them were too fat. Other stuff was also difficult (but possible) to get on. So maybe try swapping the o-rings if you have spares.
