Hi all. So I'm new to cider brewing, and have put together a basic cider. I used 22 litres of Audi apple juice (it was on special) and a kilo and a half of honey melted in about a lite of hot water. I used the Wyeast cider yeast, 4766. OG was 1.060 So now the problem: after 4 or 5 days I've...

    Another annoying cider thread

Cheers for the help. I'll go with a bastardisation of your recommendations, keep it light-ish on the lactose, back sweeten if needs be. Still torn over kit with dry yeast versus all juice with a liquid yeast.

    another first timer!

That's what I'm doing right now. I'm a big noob, this is my first brew, but so far it's stayed a stable 20°, sometimes slipping down to 18° when it's particularly cold. Then again it's inside, in my kitchen area, which presumably doesn't vary wildly. But the goose feather doonah is definitely...

    Hey all

Hi all, I'm another rookie brewer, having a crack at brewing cheap beer that's very drinkable. I started a Thomas Cooper's Pilsener last weekend, hopefully will be bottling by saturday this week, so far it's bubbling away happily. A friend and I each have a kit, and we are sharing things we...
