My mate used to work casual in a warehouse for 18.00 or so an hour. He then took a "promotion" and ended up on 17.50 as a permanent Team Leader. Minimum wage is 16.87. I told him he's crazy. He lost his job when he piped up. Maybe I shouldn't have encouraged him
If they got payed for what they do, we wouldn't be in this situation. Joke all you want, you don't understand the shit that is going to go down in the North of Adelaide when Holdens shut. Everyone is employed there. Shit, I was employed in a third tier company for 6 years and I had to travel to...
You want rights? You don't want to come to work sick? You want RDOs for the Big Day Out and other shit. You want to be payed the big money when you do come in to work for screwing a screw into a piece of metal? See you later Holden. See you later (Add word here: (South Australia)).
Well I was having a rant whilst half cut. I thought that what this thread was for :P
Any hoo, the reasoning is, while i was working with a small team we had to get the job done in an 11 hour time slot. 5 people: 55 hours of production. 4 people: 13.75 hours each of productive work in 11...
If my mate starting out asked me I would say make ales.
Not sure about the house fire, but the belts by themselves will keep your fv at the right temp. I found they can get too hot and need controlling.
All this coming to work sick talk. I seen guys given the arse for taking sickies. Let alone all the talk about laziness if they don't come in. What about small teams missing a member? What about casuals paying a mortgage? More of them than permanents in the world today.
I say if you got a runny...
Feel your pain. Been there. Don't underestimate the importance of cleanliness. It's more important than the recipe or type of yeast. Actually, brewing is cleaning with some other processes thrown in.
Not off topic or anything....but I think so too. Got 5 grams left in the freezer I'm gonna chuck in at flame out with tomorrows brew. Not going to taste it at all :)
Warranty is the catch I think. Nothing is obvious except for replacing or refunding a faulty or damaged item on delivery. I don't think the element matters if it's concealed or not. Not hard to change the plug.
Typed your fermentables into brewmate and it says the FG should be 1.014 so your about on the money. If you're concerned then you can do the fast ferment test.

US05 @18c should have been done and dusted by now. Maybe you got a dud batch...
