I suppose you could give it a go, but there's a reason copper is where it's at.

I really liked it when I first started brewing, still do, but I'm more interested in other hops now. Got a bit excited with it for a while, so have decided to try a different hop with each brew.

Can you give specifics on the replacements? How much dextrose was replaced with how much malt?

No distillation involved. It's just partially freezing the beer and then draining off the liquid. Since alcohol freezes at a lower temp than the water, the water freezes first and you end up with beer concentrate. There's a video of the process here...
