i have a brewcraft kilkenny style kit and it came with 15g coldings + 15g fuggles
on each of the backs of the packets they both say to:
add bag to 500ml (2cups) boiling water and allow to keep for 10min
then prepare the brew
then add hops + coldings just before the yeast

mount mellick cream ale
1kg light dry malt
500 corn syrup
15 goldings hop plug
muntons gold yeast
its been 2 weeks and the sg is still quite high :(

has any one brewed the brewcraft irish cream ale and the brewcraft - i bought the brewcraft irish cream ale as i was told that it was similar to kilkenny but i had another look around the net and i found a brewcraft recipe that actually says "kilkenny"
are they much different?

noobie mistake... i didnt take a reading :(
i opened the fermenter and stirred it up and now its at approx 1012 after 1 day. go figure.. should i wait a few more days and see if it will go down any further?
ok guys i have come home and its still at 1018 even after shaking the fermenter up abit last night.. the air lock isnt bubbling at all..
