    Space Beer

Here's a sneak peek at the TV ads for it :)

    Tasmanian Micro Breweries

I've not visited but have been told Seven Sheds (Willie Simpson's brewery) is worth a look. It's not beer but the Lark Distillery on the docks in Hobart is worth a visit.

    Chilli! All Things Chillies.

I just planted my Trinidad Scorpion yesterday, I hope I see some sprouts :) I have them on a heat mat in Jiffy Pellets which has worked well for the other chillis I started a few months ago.

What's In Your Herb / Vege Garden?

I'd love to see pics of the selfwatering tubs, I have a pile of strange coloured tomatoes I picked up from Diggers but the garden of the house I moved into is in pretty poor shape, the previous tennants used it to dump their rubbish in.

    Sqyre's American Style Bbq Smoker...

Thanks I didn't know that about the zinc plated/galvanised bins. If I get permission from SWMBO I'll give it a go and see how it all turns out

    Sqyre's American Style Bbq Smoker...

A bit off topic, but I'm mechanically illiterate, but I was hoping someone who isn't could take a quick look at these plans (which look easy enough for even me to manage) and let me know if there is anything wrong with them? http://cruftbox.com/cruft/docs/elecsmoker.html

Bridge Road Pale Ale - Remarkably Bad

I am starting to think these problem is not so much the brewer, as the handling of it once Dan Murphy's gets their uncaring paws on it. Thinking about it most (but not all) of the dud beers I have had came from them and not a smaller retailer who understands how to store real beer.

Anyone Know Any Good Beer Destinations In Launceston?

It's been a while (2+ years) since I was there but a place called Mud on the docks had some good beers and pretty good food. It could be crap now, but it was pretty good.

Bintara [brewery Review] Good And Really Bad

I never meant to imply my beer was perfect, it's not even close to theirs, that's why I keep buying :) It's just particularly with Holgate it seems I'll buy one six pack, it will be perfect, the next time not quite so good, the next time perfect. Very frustrating for one of the best micros around.

Bintara [brewery Review] Good And Really Bad

It's a shame when people say "I don't like that micro-brewery crap, I'll stick to Carlton Draught" and they have the right idea :( There are some good breweries out there that can be shocking inconstant with their beers, each 6 pack is like a lucky dip, will it be the good stuff, or over/under...

Good Dvd To Sit Down To Have A Beer With

Spinal Tap with the commentary on, all done by the three main actors in character. Just brilliant.

    Chilli! All Things Chillies.

I ordered a pile of chilli seeds from http://thehippyseedcompany.com/ (the Aussie guy who does the taste tests) I haven't planted the seeds yet, I'll post some photos here once I get some going. He was great to deal with, very quick and efficient with sending the seeds. I was too scared to...

    Seven Periods With Mr Gormsby

It's worth finding another source for it (wink wink nudge nudge) the ABC has been showing slightly edited versions.
