First you receive a KnK kit for a gift from someone who knows you like beer. Then it's not enough so you talk to the bloke at the LHBS, who introduces you hops, and you add some to the KnK. Then you buy DME instead of sugar and brew with that. Then upgrade from bottles to kegs. Then Perlick flow-controlled taps. Then you start an extract brew. It's still missing something, so you steep specialty grains. Then you decide to go all out and BIAB. Then you obtain CUB kegs, and build a small-scale brewery. But gravity is a bitch so you buy a March pump or three. But it's still not pretty enough so a stainless brew stand is ordered. And you want to automate the process a bit so you buy a PID, HERMS kit, solenoid ball valves and enough stainless tube to make a mega bong. Then it might be smart to bottle some beer for portability, so it's off to the LHBS (who now know you buy name and beer preference) and you buy a Blichman Beer Gun.

Lucky home brewing is cheaper than buying beer ...
