I noticed on the Wyeast website that it says 3787 "benefits from incremental feeding of sugars during fermentation". http://www.wyeastlab.com/hb_yeaststrain_detail.cfm?ID=65 I spose this doesnt help now and might not be the problem but may be useful next time. Cheers Andrew

Hi ozpowell I had a go at this a few months back. My efficiency was down on what I usually get and it was real bugger to sparge. I strongly recommend rice hulls. FWIW I used butternut. Radical Brewing has some info on the extract potential of pumpkin but unfortunately I dont have it handy...

I'd agree with snagler on the bottling issue. Picked up a few bottles 6 months back and one of them was a gusher. I mentioned it to the brewer and he said that someone else comes in and bottles their beer so its out of his hands (the brewers) to a certain extent. Apart from that, all their beers...

Sounds like the WLP500 is the go. Will put it on the shopping list. I was unsure on the brown sugar. I've used it once and lets just say the beer wasnt asking to be drunk in a hurry. Anyone else had bad experiences with brown sugar or is it worth having another go with it?
