    Kegging while travelling. Comments welcome.

Thanks for the rplies guys. Grott, you idea of rotating ferments so as to maintain supply is basically what I had in mind. By using the 3 kegs I already have I could do it if I only drink at about the same pace as the beer takes to ferment....hahaha that could be a good thing. Wobbly, I hadnt...

    Kegging while travelling. Comments welcome.

Hi all, I am currently on the road in a caravan and I am becoming more and more dissapointed with choce of bottled beers unless in major centres or close to micro breweries. As such I am contemplating brewing while on the road. At this stage I am considering the partial mash method and...

So my tapwater pH is 4.8

My most humble and sincere apology for only taking notice of the title. :) OP...please ignore everything that I said, particularly about the part that residue in the container used for collection can and will affect ph.

So my tapwater pH is 4.8

The topic title says that it is his Tapwater that is PH 4.8 By tapwater I assume it is municipal water. Municipal water would normally be filtered and chlorine or similar added prior to supply. Wouldnt it be adviseable to get a water report and although it may be only a guide it may give you...

    Giveaway:Inkbird Temperature Controller ITC-310T

I was not aware that the unit could be used to stepped temps. eg: ferment a lager then set a dyacetyl rest and then chill. Am I correct in assuming the unit will achieve this automatically without manual programming for each step?????

    Stainless hop spider

I use a KK unit and I have never had any trouble with cleaning it. I do hose it off immediately after removing it from the kettle and I give it a rub over with a dish mop and napisan. I notice that the strip behind the stainless bracket that runs from the top to the bottom can trap some gunk...
