    Esky Mashtun Conversion

Does anyone have any pics on the net of their magical EskyTun's setup and working? (I'm with Adamt and doing 12L batches so that l can get into brewing at a reduced cost & so l can experiment more. I was planning on setting up an Esky in the next couple of months anyway so this topic is gold...

    Storing Beer

Good idea Stuster, l might try that out. I'm basically making sure they've had 3 weeks since bottling then just topping up Ye Olde Beer Fridge whenever l need to. Sometimes theyve sat in there for a couple of hours and sometimes a month. Sounds like l'm not doing things too badly. Thanks guys.

    Storing Beer

Hi guys, I was just wondering what different peoples methods were for storing beer. I'm bottle conditioning and l usually start cracking a few open after 3 weeks conditioning. Is it at this same time l should get the whole brew in the fridge, or is it ok to leave it warm in the cupboard for...

    Getting Old Kegs

Good ideas. Didn't think CUB would just hand a couple over. I was hoping there might be someone who you can actually buy the kegs off .. then l could grab a few when l need to setup draught. Expensive l know, but those Kegs have got style & romance compared with the 18lt versions at homebrew...

    Getting Old Kegs

Just wondering where you guys get a hold of the old kegs to convert to brew kettles, etc? Where could l get a couple for cheap? (Because 'cheap' is my 2nd favorite price!!) Stealth

    Un-bottle Conditioning

I was wondering if anyone could let me know what the options are for carbonation. I've only used the Coopers carbonation drops, and l know about Bulk Priming. Are there other options? How do the larger breweries get their carbonation if they dont bottle condition? Stealth.

    Have L Racked Too Soon?

Ok, great. Thanks for all the info Trough Lolly ... l'll let you know how l go. Out of interest will all lager strains give off the sulphur smell during ferementation, or is it only occasionally? I'm just wondering if its been there for every sample l've drawn off but l just can't smell it...

    Have L Racked Too Soon?

Trough Lolly, I tried the wort and l couldn't pickout any sulphury scents, dont remember any butterscotch either. Am l more suseptable to off notes because of the smaller batch? I'm thinking l might rouse the yeast & leave it in the laundry for a while to see if l can get it down, then l'll...

    Have L Racked Too Soon?

Thanks Razz. Only the problem was that l already racked, so its in the secondary now. Do you think l should leave it in the current spot to ferment down some more then put it in the fridge at 4C in a few days to finish lagering? Stealth.

    Have L Racked Too Soon?

At the moment its in the Laundry. With the Antarctic temps we've been getting its varying between 9C overnight to 13C in the arvo. I've got room in the beer fridge for it, will leaving it at 4C help it?

    Have L Racked Too Soon?

Hi Razz, Yeast was SAF 34/70. I'm guessing if l leave it in secondary for long enough it'll get down. My main worry though is exploding bottles during conditioning.

    Have L Racked Too Soon?

Hi guys. I'm currently fermenting my first extract Pilsener and was after some advice. It was planned as a 9ltr batch, but since l'm using the system for the first time l didn't hit the 9ltrs after the boil. I only got 8 (although l still hit smack on my expected OG of 1050). Therefore l'm...
