How does the co2 escape through the glad wrap? sorry if its a dumb question ive only ever used 1 fv with the standard air lock

Cheers guys, yeah i did a search and found heaps. im pretty sure mines an extract kit. all i have to do is mix the can of wort with the suger and water then the yeast in the barrel. id like do all grain but dont have the room or money to set it up properly yet.
