Hello! Thank you for this. I can confirm that the calibration is fine (tested it on distilled water) and also that I have not opened it (I am 4 brews in and the battery is a healthy 70+ percent). I did try and shake it to remove the crud but I guess I probably did that after it was well settled...

Understood. On another note, would carbonation affect FG? I also have a hydrometer and so wondering if I should triple-check (as it were) using that as well and since I have already begun force carb, I, unfortunately, do not have non-carbonated wort.
