The Woolies jug came apart easily, and seals well with only the silicone washer from the jug. The element is earthed (CRITICALLY IMPORTANT) and with it's 2200W, last brew I did (without the rotor mod) yielded a ramp rise of about 1.1C/minute in a mash with 6.8kg grain and 20 litres liquor.
I'll be watching with interest next brew day to see how the Auber PID likes the mod!
