Airation of the wort
Im brewing in our backyard, but the fermenter stands in the cellar. So after the wort is ready to pitch, Im leading the wort through a window into the fermenter down in the cellar.
The hight differences gives it a suction at the spigot. Inside the spigot, Ive drilled a small hole, there gets the the air sucked in. :)
 
i've been thinking of doing the same thing with a small airstone diffuser and a compressor during transfer
