instead of hard plumbing this, was going to use 3 piece valves off the pot, with camlock fittings and silicone tube. Bottom return has a T piece on it with the pump output at the other end - inspired by Meddo's build.
should make it easy to clean, especially keep dry as well as tear down when required.
