Mash Tun

Mash Tun

Element and pump return on one side, outlet and sensor probe on the other side. I made a domed false bottom to stop the outlet getting blocked by the bag and to create a bit of free space above the outlet.
I like your thinking outside the box on the mash tun mate, good work.

It all seems to work ok for now. I use a BIAB bag to make cleaning up easier, If I replace 2 hose clamps with quick disconnect fittings I could probably do away with the bag and just un clip the In/Out lines to the esky, dump the grain in the garden and hose the thing out.
At the moment I remove the grain bag after sparging then pump clean water out through the 3 way valve until everything's all clean, bit of perc towards the end as well for good measure.
