Nope nope. Have a 40A supply to the shed, but designed/built control panel to 32A (& 32A RCBO in panel).
I can only run one of the elements at a time. Got the contactors wired up to a) only allow a single element at a time, and b) alarm if I switch both on at the same time (had fun working out the correct combo of NC/NO blocks for that).
Built out the panel with the option to include a (separate) 2400w HX that can run at the same time as the HLT, but I'd have to downgrade the HLT back to the 3500w to stay within load capability (ideally < 26A). The lights/switch above the mash pid are just place holders.
As for relays, have both. The SSRs are used by the PIDs for switching. The mechanical relays are controlled by switches on the front panel and sit between the SSR and the element. Basically, the mechanical relays are for element select, the SSRs are for element control.
