The wife cleaned what she thought was gunked on mess off the electric stovetop round elements and found corroded rusty elements underneath and now the large element sparks when moving metal pots over it.

I vaguely remember someone replaced their elememts with induction? ones. I was wondering if they were for electric stoves or only for a benchtop and costs and best place to order them from?

Cheers,
Brewer Pete

Don't think you can just buy the elements they come in a ceramic cooktop. Not cheap + you need Cast Iron or SS pots for them to work.

Pros and Cons of induction

Be much easier to replace the faulty element on your existing cooker unless you are planning on a new cooktop and oven.

Thank you for the information.

While my beer making kit would work my aluminium restaurant cookware would not.
