Hey all,

I got three kilos of liquid malt extract sitting in the cupoard. I was thinking I could boil this up with some water to get a gravity of 1030-1040 then freeze it and use for yeast starters. (Same as you do with wort left in the kettle)

Can anyone see anys issues with this or had experience in doing so?

Thanks in advance.

that should work out just fine. i used to make up 10 or so litres of starter wort at a time and put it into jars in the pressure cooker for 20 mins or so. making starters aws then a simple matter of pouring wort in the flask and adding yeast.
