Hey gang.
I think at some stage of a brewers life we all try to cross the path of sanity and try to brew something weird or wonderful.
I have always wondered just how much hops i could cram into a single batch... and im thinking 1kg plus...
Im not sure what the world's hoppiest beer is, but id be interested to see what the max capacity i could cram in would be, and have it still be drinkable. Has anyone attempted this? I have read stories about monster IIPA's having up to 3/400g chucked in to get IBU right up, but if i followed the same principle at the 10 min IPA, and lobbed a shitload in at say even 5 mins... the mind boggles. It will be a costly experiment i imagine.

Have a read here of how it's been done

Hmmm interesting.... cheers for that

Mikkeller 1000IBU springs to mind. It's a 'theoretical' 1000 IBU's though...
