    Getting closer to inaugural brew day on the 35 gen4. Just wondering if other users set the element power to 100% during boil and what sort of boil off rate you get. Obviously I'll run a test batch first on mine but having a start point would save me a little time. Cheers.

    yeah I did think about that. I don't do double batches though, so it would only be for bigger than about 7% beers. Plus I figured if I wanted to stray into imperial territory I could just grab the extension and bigger malt pipe down the track?

    The brewers were discussing this beer a while back and admitted they also use some syrup type adjuncts that give it that sickly sweet flavour so which ones to use would be anyone's guess.

    So I'm just getting back into brewing, last time I brewed I was making starters and using liquid yeasts with London Ale 3 etc for my hazies but I was just keen on seeing how these newer dry yeasts like Verdant are stacking up. Is it safe to ditch my stir plate yet or not?
