hello all,
for the last few years i have been making my brew from the recipe listed below, but now its time for a change.... I am quite happy with this recipe but I thought It might be an idea to swap in some key ingredients to alter the ale flavour profile, so looking for some tips.... thought maybe change the hop types or grains... what do the experts think?

Thanks
Phil

This recipe makes an American style pale ale ;

3 lts Water
280g Crystal Malt
14g Choc Malt

Boil water, steep crystal and choc malt grains for 30mins at 67’c, Strain liquid, discard grains, reboil so sterile.

25gm Fuggles hops – boil 30 mins { = extra bitterness}

Then Added:
25gm Cascade hops – boil 15mins

Add liquid to fermenter barrel with 3kg light malt, top up to 23lts, then added another 25gm Cascade hops [dry hopping] and 11.5gm yeast.
