I put two brews down at the end of the week - one on Friday, one on Sat. Both were pitched with active starters cultured from Coopers Sparkling Ale, and are going strong.

I want to do another brew tomorrow (Monday), pitching it from one of the above. Can I just draw half a litre of actively fermenting beer (approx 48 or 60 hours through fermentation) out of one fermenter and pitch it into the new wort, or is there some better way?

I cant see how that would cause problems, after all, yeasties are yeasties, and using them while they're still active sounds ok to me.

I do that quite often, usually use 1 l from a similar beer that has been going about 24 to 48 hrs, and find it takes off really well.
