hi all, just a quick question

my bro gave me a muntons premium kit for xmas.
http://www.muntons.com/homebeer/countries/..._conkerwood.htm

it contains what it calls premium yeast. which is a sachet of dry yeast.

has anyone here brewed this before ?
and have you used the supplied yeast.

or should I substitute with a liquid yeast.

and any suggestions as to which yeasts to use ?

I did one of those kits once (the cont. pilsner one from memory) and it was really good.
If you have the Irish or English Ale yeasts I'd use those over the dried sachet one it came with.

Beers,
Doc

look, NEVER use the pathetic 7g packet of yeast

buy a packet of REAL yeast

lallemand Windsor or Nottingham

sheeit, even Safale 04 will be better

i agree with the monk use a liquid yeast those yeast are good for nutirinets for your starter or beer but i would trust a yeast in a can that can from england who know how hot it got .
