I'm thinking about doing an Irish Red for xmas.

I used one of the ESB full wort kits earlier in the year as I didn't have time for a AG brew and I needed a beer for the masses for my sons birthday.

It went down really well with everyone, so I'm looking to do an AG version for xmas. I've found a base recipe in one of my mags for it but the numbers don't add up. Will have to do some more research.

Beers,

doc.
your irish red sounds like a good subject for another thread.
i have done some irish red A.G'S but haven't hit the nail on the head yet.

what i have for the malt bill is something like
4 kg pale ale malt
500 g 110ebc crystal
28 g roast barley.

and mash at 68-69. then of course the irish ale yeast.
