Hello all

I recently bottled an attempt at a White rabbit dark ale. Went well, not too similar but tastes pretty good.Is very bitter, no surprises there, not as hoppy as I'd hoped.

Gonna have another crack, got temp control set up now, fermented around 23, just after a few ideas on improvement.

Recipe

200g of crystal
200g of chocolate both steeped for 30 mins at 65c

1.5kg wheat lme for 60 mins

25g cascade @ 60mins

12.5g cluster @ 60 mins

25g hallertau @ 30 mins

15g fuggles @ 15 mins

10g Styrion goldings @ 15 mins

Can coopers dark ale at end

US05

12.5g cluster dry hop day 10

10g Styrian goldings day 10.

Bottled day 14 with carb drops.

Ended up 6.0%.

Again tastes good, guess will get better with age. I'm thinking on next will use unhopped lme rather than the kit, and maybe raise the late hop additions a touch.

Any ideas would be great.

Cheers

If your going for a clone this thread is the best going and one of the recipes was noted by a white rabbit brewer to be just about bang on. enjoy.

I've had a good look at this thread, but can't find much in the way of extract brewing?

Can anyone point me in the right direction extract wise?
