In the past few months I've done a number of APA's that I have split fermented. One with WLP005 English Ale and the other with Wyeast 1026 Cask Ale.

From tasting the resulting beers, I've concluded that if you want the resultant beer to be more aromatic and have more residual bitterness then the WLP005 does this really well. If you want the beer dumbed down a bit, ie. not quite as harsh on the bitterness then the 1026 Cask Ale yeast is the go.

Anyone else noticed similar observations ?

Beers,
