hi all

I recently purchased 1099 whitbread and am wanting to do an american pale as i have heaps of US hops to burn.
My question is will the whitbread be suitable with US hops and what can i expect from this yeast?

Cheers all

Never used this yeast before, but I always use British ale yeasts with American hops. I say if you are really interested in trying this yeast Just giver' a go and see how things turn out.

Go for it JLB

Whitbread is one of the tamer and more neutral of the English strains. Will suit an APA without too much ado I reckon. Should also get good attenuation which will benefit an APA. :)

Good luck with the brew.
