Hi AHB community.

I really need your help.

I have bought in the past 3 piece airlock and I am using them to ferment recipes in my kitchen.

The ones I bought they are plastic, but they can be easily break.

I also have good quality S-shaped airlocks but they are tall and I can not fit my jars in the fridge when using this s-shaped airlock, So I have to stick and trying to find good quality durable plastic 3 piece airlocks.

Can anyone please point out where I can get them online? I would appreciate your help .

I am a newbie person doing fermentation but just a begginner.

Regards.

One of the best tips I received when starting out was to get rid of my lid and airlock and replace with a sheet of cling wrap over the top instead, held down by the o-ring from the lid.

No more airlocks, no more worrying about them not bubbling or being sanitised, and can easily see into the fermenter through the top.

+1

get rid of airlocks. they only stress you out as a new brewer and are not needed at all.

+1 on that mate.

Try Yasmani imports? Otherwise wrap it in gladwrap like bad boy bubby.

Do you need to sanitize the gladwrap?
I don't sanitise my glad wrap either. No issues what so ever.

+1 for glad wrap.

+1 for not sanitising glad wrap but use the side that is closest to the cylinder.

Does anyone actually sanitise glad wrap / cling wrap?

Wouldn't it be sanitary already since it is used to cover food etc you'd think it would have to be.

I've always just sprayed some starsan on the underside of the cling wrap (beer side) just for peace of mind. Others have clearly shown that this is not required though
