If you're a meat-lover then try Josie Bones in Collingwood.

Read about them. Apparently good vegetarian selection as well. Well, they are in Collingwood....

Oh I'm a meat lover all right, I've cooked a pigs head once too, hahaha! :)

Honestly folks really appreciate all the suggestions here. I've chucked them all in a spreadsheet along with the website and address, I'll wait for any more sugestions then get it on here for others to use.

Looking forward to using this forum more as I hope to get back into homebrewing whilst in Oz.

Yep considering a half pigs head cost 4 bucks at butcher but they charge over 40 for it! Oh well overheads I spose

Josie bones is great but DAMN it's expensive...
Very true, and not just the food, the beer is very heavily marked up. Thankfully the few times I've been there someone else has been paying...

Brother Burger and the Marvelous Brew on Brunswick St Fitzroy. Best burgers in town and rotating taps of delicious beer.
