What effect would 500 grams of wheat malt have on a draught,a NZ draught.?Planning on using 1 kg of coopers be2 with this brew. <_<

Your beer will hold a nice head and it should also add some extra body.

Brewing at the moment a Coopers draught with 500gram Coppers wheat malt extract. When you mix everthing up in the fermenter you will notice all the extra foam. It has been fermenting now for two days and going well. Cheers 15BL

Coopers draught is probably the best kit on the market in my opinion,i've yet to wreck it,even using white sugar. :)

That much wheat extract will give a flavour effect aswell.
you wont need that much if its just for head retention.

If you've added that much I hope you like wheat beer.
I can taste it easily when only 100gms is added, so much so that I either wont be using it again or I'll try 1 tablespoon, as has been mentioned in another thread.

What flavour are you getting?
Surely not cloves and phenolics if you're using a basic ale yeast.

G'day all
what yeast do you people prefer with the Coopers draught - ale or lager?

regards
Richard
