I have made some changes to my planned brewing schedule.. ...and I have got to the stage of doing my first wheat, which was
planned to be 55/45 with Pilsener malt, but now the only Base I have of enough quantity is Golden Promise.
Im keen to give it a crack, I need to stock up some summer beers and my next grain buy will not be until late November.

Has anybody used GP in a wheat, I cant find any real evidence of anybody doing it.

Im thinking to mash low to avoid too much body from the GP.
Will be using Wb-06, thinking about 15-16c.

Any thoughts and/or advice.

If you're using WB06, then you might as well be using old malt extract. It makes "wheat beer" but it doesn't do a job that would let you feel like you'd used the wrong grain.

An all LDME "wheat" beer with 3068 will be better than anything AG with WB06.

Weizens are ALL about yeast. You don't even need to use any wheat and they taste the same.

Agree with Nick, scrap that yeast, it will only end in disapointment. 3068, 3868 or 1214 are goers. No starter needed.

No need to use pils malt either, any ale malt is perfectly fine if not better.
I usually use 25% pils max in my hefeweizens, often less.

If you can lay your hands on it, do it 50/50 munich2/wheat malt.
