I am going to drink more of my homebrew cuz every pint I save money

I am considering reusing my aroma hops and flame out hops for bittering my next batch .

Bugger the Irish moss that is Poppycock anyway ( thats a few cents)

cut down the boil from 90 mins to 60 mins on Brown ale .

use dried yeast its cheaper and just as good

Use the hot water from the hot water tank Yuk !!! if I really have too!!

Go and visit Linz more often and drink his beer .

Give smaller glasses to visitors .

Turn the gas up so visitors they get all head and no beer !.( prob be happy with all head)

Special keg with watered down beer for visitors

The ideas will help me save money to pay for my loan

I'm not making any savings.

If I was in a position to be so affected by a .25% rate rise or whatever it is I would be having a hard long look at myself.

And I couldn't think of anything worse that reusing hops.

Done that. Just make sure you rub the flour off the bottom of your kettle or it will burn.

Tell you what I have been doing lately,I have around 1 litre left in my kettle after draining.
I have been pouring this through my hopsock, bottling and using for my staters,I can't believe how they take off using this.
Before this I just tipped it out.

Johnno,

If you make a double batch brewday you can put the first runnings onto the trub etc. Alternatively you could scoop them into the mash tun. Those caramelised sugars actually go well in the next beer.

EDIT: Although I have Scottish heritage it wasn't about saving money, it was more about lost wort 8)

Today's Australia Johnno!

The fact is lots of the other Johnno's "battlers" will be making significant changes because of a .25% rise.

But, I suppose that is "their" problem. Good thing you and I live in the "lucky" country, isn't it?

awrabest, stu
