I totally agree with the idea of a hoppy IPA, or even an IPA that is hoppy but has a fair whack of malt as well. APAs go well too IMO. Bitters of course are traditional.

Thanks Stuster. Might check out those styles at the bottlo. The Vale IPA I've been drinking lately matches a malty IPA.
I didn't know that a bitter was traditional.
I reckon a good thirst quenching lager goes well with curry. I like Singha Thai lager goes well with spicy food. European lagers are too bland to match a fiery curry. Sri Lanken curry is usually hot with some coconut milk.
