Wattcost Smart Meter

I'm not usually one to roll the dice on first gen devices (I'm looking at you, Grainfather), but Wattcost is Australian owned, and seems easy to return if it shits me off too much.

What do you think? Gimmick, or device that could be developed into something decent in subsequent models?

In my house, it would simply start more fights and raise my cortisol levels. Easier to just do a sweep and turn off the lights, shut the fridge etc..
