FYI!

Tell your favourite bottleshop owner about this, as you may be able to get them! :) Supposed to be brilliant beers. I cant personally comment on them as I havent tried them yet, however I have a bottle of Quelque Chose hiding in the cupboard ready for winter :)

Repost from the www.ratebeer.com forums:

Greetings from Palais Imports!

I wrote to the forum a couple of months ago to announce the return of the
Unibroue range to Australia.

After many delays the beer has finally arrived!

I have had the pleasure of tasting Apple Ephemere, La Fringante and La
Terrible. Wow! Wow! I can't wait to get these beers out there and available to
you all. At this stage we have limited quantities of the more recent Unibroue
creations, purely to gauge interest and find out which ones taste good and sell
well.

We need your help!

We now have a distributor set up in Adelaide who is beginning to service SA and
NT. As for the other states, it may take some time before we have finalised
agreements with distributors.

So.....

If YOU know of any bars, restaurants and bottleshops in your area/city that
either used to stock Unibroue or would want to stock Unibroue, then please let
us know their details and I will personally get in contact with them. We would
be able to supply them directly until we set-up a distributor in your
state/territory.

Also....

Palais Imports will have a stand showcasing the Unibroue range at the upcoming
AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL BEER FESTIVAL (www.beerawards.com)at the Melbourne
Exhibition Centre 7 & 8 of May. Hope to see you there.

Happy Beer Drinking Australia

I have had their Raftman beer which uses whisky malt or something and it is a great beer.

Would love to try the others. Unfortunately I don't spend a lot of time in bottle shops when I'm brewing my own :D

Beers,
Doc

Interesting Doc, David Jones in Adelaide stock the Raftman, and it's one of the few beers I've tasted in the last year or so I really didn't like! Course, a few months have passed and most that I can remember thinking is "well, I won't try that again!"

Was strong and distinctive (sherry seems to come to mind?), but not too pleasant. Thought the grain would have been better used in whisky.

Ah, beer - what an individual thing. :chug:

For Adelaideans, the Bailies on Kensingon Rd has a huge range of imported beers. They used to stock the full unibrou range and I hope they do so again
