It will be strong, and taste like cider from the kilo of sugar. Use a kilo of dried malt extract (DME) instead of the sugar and it will taste better, and still be as strong.

Could be an idea to boil up some hops with the DME, but that adds complexity to the brewday and it will probably taste fine without anyway.

cheers. i wont worri then ill just put two cans down

bretto, do a search for "two can", "2 can", "toucan", etc, and you should find there's been quite a bit of discussion about these 'two can screamers'. The general consensus seems to be that they end up a bit too bitter, and can be a bit expensive for what they are.

Try searching a few other sites for this information.

AHB tend not to be the place to discuss high alcohol, low quality grog making.

Most memebers are dedicated brewers trying to perfect particular styles or techniques.

If you're interested in information on how to improve on a kit to get maximum flavour/quality, then post away and I'm sure the AHBers will point you in the right direction.

Cheers
