Hi All

I am going to Sydney for a wedding in a couple o' weeks and have a mate that has just taken up th HB hobby . I want to take some of my beers over there so we can compare notes and all that stuff. Have been bottling one plastic bottle per brew in the hope that it will be ok on the plane in my luggae that goes in the cargo area (not carry on)

Has anyone tried this and did it work or even are You aloud to do it these days , dont want my MP3 player setting them off or anything like that .

Cheers

arse :D ,

I flew back from Cairns to Adelaide with Qantas last Friday carrying a six pack of glass bottles in my hand luggage. No questions asked.

I tried carrying on a mixed case from IBS Perth a few months back, and got turned around at the screening point, and so it had to be checked in as luggage. The reason was not because it was beer, but more to do with the weight.

As TDA suggests a sixer or less would be no probs

A rather big move for me maybe on the cards shortly, not in distance but in the fact that I have around 250 longnecks & 400 stubbies in my stocks at the moment and around around a 100 empty stubbies.

Moving them will no doubt be a treat, as well getting enough milk crates for them.

I bought two NT Draugh Stubbies back in my Hand luggage and there was no questions asked, just a heavy bag.

I've carried as much as a case of beer before on carry on and checked in. I won't be using carry on any more though :( It's a shame, as I can fit 15 small bottles in my backpack normally.

If you're going to check it in, I normally wrap them in 2-3 layers of bubble wrap, then two socks. Never had a break yet.

On my way back from the states I plan to take 24 bottles back with me, using 2x 12 bottle styrofoam wine shippers, checked in.

Only 2 darwin stubbies? What happened .Did you drink the other 4 from the six pack.
Try lugging a carton of the suckers with you on the plane. ;)

Cheers
