I wasn't aware that Tooheys New was exported to the US.
Have a close look at the label and you will see it is marketed as a premium beer and as a porter.

Two word "Yeah right"

I think it actually says "imported" and that it's a lager (again - yeah right).

Yep, imported sounds and on closer inspection looks right.
I'm still stumped and Premium though.

Bah. It's like Fosters. Probably brewed in the US to an American recipe with a license for the use of the branding.
