Well i added a 2 speed 240v 1Phase motor

The pullys are a 1.25" on the motor and a 12" on the mill.

This gibes me about 90 RPM on low speed and 140 RPM on high.

I tipped 250g JW pils malt into it on low speed and it cracked it in 3 seconds.

The hasks where still whole anr the crack was fine for a high efficiency.

gap was 0.9 to 1mm.

this equates to 5 kg cracked in 1 min.

And i havn't tried it on the high speed yet :p

here are some pics

cheers and no more sweat :D

Hopper and base are made from craft wood.
The grain isnt in it long enough to wory it, believe me.
The cracked grain goes into s plastic bin in the base.
