Took my taps apart this morning for a routine clean, probably about 3 beers through this since the last clean...

I've had the same issue, Had a fresh keg on and thought.. hmm this tastes a little weird.. pulled down the taps and saw the same thing.. funny how your beer tastes alot better once you don't have a old hops and beer strainer..

Yep, those flow control taps are an absolute gunk trap!

I like to flush my taps out with starsan after each use. Takes 5 minutes and keeps the taps clean for longer and the beer tastes all the better!

I flush my taps too at each keg change. I need to actually take the taps apart to clean this out. I did notice a slower flow rate, thought the flow control was playing up!

It's even worse after you have a ginger beer on tap. Have to soak the tap for quite a while to get those flavours out.
