Hi guys

Just had my first home draught beer. Fantastic!!! :beerbang:

I've already thrown out the can opener, now the bottle opener is in danger!

Only problem is I'm working tonight so I can't appreciate the full benefit for a couple of days...

Then at least give us the address and we'll "test it out" for you... we'll leave some for you, promise!

Albany...4hr trip...hmmm...think it's worth it...Just leave the keys under the mat :D

WJ, is there a decent HB supplies store in Albany or do you get everything from Perth?

Good to hear about the setup though! :beerbang:

Hey, Chatty, we're nearly neighbours

No, no decent HBS here. I had to get all my grains when I was in Perth last. Sort of limits me to brew with what I have in stock. Most of my gear has been bought from the internet.

AFAIK there aren't any other AG brewers here, but I stand to be corrected.

I'm slowly building interest among some K&K brewers, so hopefully we can arrange some bulk buys in the future.

What method do you use, Chatty?

Have been K&K up until about 12 months ago when time got the better of me. However, have decided i'm not going to brew again until it's AG.

Do you mean there aren't any other AG brewers in Albany? There are a few K&K fellas up here who will see the 'light' once i get my system up and running.

I haven't met any AG brewers here. Lots of K&K though. But that's all you can get here.

The HBS is part of a hardware store. They have a good range of kits and Westbrew gear but nothing in the way of grain, fresh hops or liquid yeasts.

I've had a few people over to look at my brewery (a work in progress) and they have gone away impressed by the ease of AG brewing.

Been doing K&K for many years, but just got lured to the "dark side" recently and haven't looked back. :super:

Welcome to the forum, kenworthy.

Nice to hear from someone close by. I'll drop you a line soon. Do you know of any other AG brewers on the south coast?

I'd be interested in some bulk grain purchases.

I get to Perth kind of regularly, so picking some gear up for you won't be a problem. I'll let you know when I'm heading up next.

Good to hear from you Kenworthy. We'll have to organise a South Coast Brewers meeting at some point!

That would be great Im nearly out of grain and cant get away due to work Do you know of anywhere in Perth where you can buy bulk between us all we might make a saving

About the only place i've been to and have been very impressed with is TWOC in Bibra Lake. Roy is extremely knowledgeable and as far as I know was supporting the west coast brewers at their annual comp when i last heard (have been in NSW for 2 years).

That'll be where i head to if i'm doing a HB shop up.

TWOC
